Just a quick one... What sort of camera are you running and what other goodies?

All our gear is here. We are using two camera's, a small Olympus for happy snaps and underwater shots, and a Canon Digital SLR for everything else.

What lens/s are you using on the Canon? I assume you did a fair amount of research on the purchase - Canons are the daddies?

We spent plenty of time down at the local camera store and online at the camera forums online before we finally made the purchase. We ended up staying with the packaged 18-55mm lens for day to day shooting. It's been good enough for most of what we want, although a macro lens and wide angle would come in useful for some of Donna's more arty shots. We bought the new Canon 70-300mm DO lens for taking on safari and getting up super close, it's bloody heavy but fairly compact for the range it gives. We looked into a 2x converter to get out to 600mm which would have come in handy in Kruger. We also purchased clear UV filters for each lens which we leave on all the time for protection.
